Kathryn Fly

Senior Architect

Kathryn brings a unique breadth of custom residential experience to her work at the studio. In addition to renovating a storied Willis Polk home, she has designed then-experimental straw bale and rammed earth buildings and has designed and directed myriad custom residential projects in Atherton, Los Altos Hills, San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Napa and Malibu; and vacation homes in Aspen, Mexico and the Caribbean. Originally from Chicago, Kathryn earned a BFA in drawing, painting and printmaking. Her work in Japan and extensive travel throughout South East Asia refined her creative sensibilities — clean, uncluttered and intentional. Inspired by this artful living, she earned a master’s in architecture and began her career with a Chicago residential studio before relocating to San Francisco. Kathryn is licensed in California, with a LEED AP credential in green building.
